Whether we’re handling a brand extension such as Monopoly Sore Losers or a licensed property partnership such as Monopoly Star Wars, our team stays focused on upholding the integrity and spirit of the parent brand; this is something we’re well placed to do, our long-standing relationship with Hasbro means we speak fluent ‘Monopoly’.

Match Madness

Challenge

Fox Mind felt that Match Madness was looking tired and didn’t communicate the fast-paced fun or the observational skill required. They challenged us to completely refresh the game brand design.

Approach and Result

We deconstructed the game brand design and rebuilt its architecture, starting with a new brand logo that better conveyed the 3D element of the game. The end result was a bright, new game brand design featuring a modern illustration style, high-quality 3D product renders to boost visual impact.

Spin Master.

Four In A Row

Challenge

When Spin Master came to rebrand its incredibly popular Four in a Row game, the challenge was to amplify the brand significantly, boost shelf presence and stop shoppers in their tracks.

Creative Approach

In this instance, bold and brave simplification was the name of the game. To achieve this, our packaging design agency in Leeds set out to create an optimised graphical device that not only amplified the brand but also explained at warp speed the idea of the game.

Result

By combining confident on-pack communication with a high-contrast blue-and-orange colour scheme across the packaging ‘real estate’, we created a distinctive and unmissable design solution that makes an instant connection in-store.

Deadpool Monopoly

Challenge

When our friends at Hasbro wanted to develop a new Deadpool Monopoly limited edition, they needed a game packaging design agency with significant experience of working with high-value licensed properties.

Creative Approach

Having worked with Hasbro for over 30 years, the experienced team at our packaging design agency understood how to work to strict studio guidelines whilst amplifying and stretching the creative application to achieve maximum impact and shelf presence.

Solution

Our packaging agency created everything for the range, including highly distinctive packaging formats with amped-up game packaging design, Deadpool-themed game components and an immersive instruction guide.

Scrabble. Rhode Island.

Challenge

As an instantly recognisable brand, Scrabble is one of the world’s most famous games. Hasbro knew that, when it came to refreshing its design, protecting brand equity was the biggest challenge it faced.

Approach

Our packaging design agency worked closely with Hasbro in formulating a robust brand strategy. By understanding Scrabble’s journey and its future importance as the foundation for Hasbro’s new product development (NPD) pipeline, we set out to strip it back to its core values and then rebuild it.

Result

The new design confidently articulates the essence of Scrabble and reflects Hasbro’s future aspirations for the brand. With the gameplay and instantly recognisable letter tiles placed at the heart of the design, the result was a game packaging design that maintains its heritage whilst appealing to the next generation of Scrabble lovers.
