A few years previously our design team were working with Irn-Bru owners, AG Barr who wanted to tap into the fast-growth energy drink sector.
How? Our design team had bags (or should that be cans) of experience working with NPD and innovation teams to bring new products to market. When it came to designing the brand, we knew what was needed, a design with serious clout which successfully traded on Irn-Bru’s significant brand value in Scotland.
Our team focused on a key selling point of the new product – 32 carefully selected ingredients. By giving this prominence in the messaging hierarchy, we created Irn-Bru 32, a brand in its own right with serious shelf presence.
