HASBRO MINION PODS

The Minions who appear in the incredibly successful Despicable Me franchise, are one of the most instantly recognisable characters to come out of Disney studios in recent years. We were asked by Hasbro to work closely with them to secure licensing rights with Disney and develop games formats that would be loved by Minions fans around the world.

How? We began by providing Hasbro with a range of pre-release concepts to clearly demonstrate Hasbro’s vision for bringing the characters into game play and gain buy-in from one of the world’s most protective licensors. Our challenge was to give Hasbro a lead on other manufacturers by getting to work on the concepts before the film was even released and even prior to the official assets being made available. We were only able to do this thanks to previous experience of working with Disney. 

The result was the creation of a bank of assets that married the Minions and Pods brands perfectly to create games concepts that were emotive, fun and true to the spirit of the franchise.
